Project Information

We created an animated video on Sign Language, utilizing a dynamic collage style to emphasize the diversity and vibrancy of the Deaf community. The project was designed to raise awareness and educate viewers on the history and importance of sign language.

What we did?

Moodboard:
We started by developing a moodboard to establish the visual direction for the project. The collage style was chosen to represent the rich tapestry of sign language and its global impact. We selected a diverse color palette that reflected the inclusive and celebratory nature of the content, ensuring it would resonate with a wide audience. Additionally, we chose a typewriter-style font reminiscent of olden times to evoke a sense of historical depth and authenticity. This typography choice added a nostalgic touch, reinforcing the historical narrative woven throughout the video.

Storyboard:
We meticulously storyboarded the video to ensure a coherent and impactful narrative. We approached the presentation in a timeline-like manner, using flow lines to visually guide viewers through the history of sign language. This allowed us to tell a historical story in a way that was easy to follow, with each key event seamlessly connected to the next.

Animation:
We animated the cut-out images in a collage-like manner, creating fluid transitions and dynamic movements that enhanced the video’s storytelling.
