Project Information

For our project with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), we analyzed the carbon footprint of the textile sector, focusing on the energy-intensive processes of textile production, dyeing, and finishing. The research highlighted key emission hotspots and explored sustainable alternatives such as renewable energy use, improved manufacturing practices, and circular economy approaches to reduce overall impact.

What we did?

Research and Data Collection:
We began by gathering detailed data on the carbon footprint of the textile sector, covering the entire lifecycle from fiber production and dyeing to finishing and distribution. This involved reviewing global studies, emission reports, and industry statistics to identify key sources of greenhouse gas emissions and opportunities for reduction.

Creative Development:
We designed a series of static posts and GIFs that visualized the high energy and water usage, chemical intensity, and waste generation within textile production. The creatives also showcased potential solutions such as renewable energy adoption, cleaner dyeing technologies, and sustainable material sourcing.

Visual Storytelling:
Each post was crafted to narrate the journey of textiles from raw material to finished product, making the sector’s complex environmental impact clear and relatable. We used infographics and concise data points to highlight emission hotspots and inspire sustainable practices.

Campaign Execution:
The final creatives were shared across various platforms to spark awareness and engagement. By presenting visually compelling content, we encouraged dialogue on the textile sector’s carbon footprint and promoted collective action toward sustainable manufacturing.
