This article explores the history and global impact of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, from its discovery in 1981 to advancements in treatment and prevention, such as antiretroviral therapy (ART). It highlights progress, challenges, and the ongoing need for equitable healthcare access and stigma reduction.

Gender-based violence (GBV) refers to harmful acts directed at individuals based on their gender. It encompasses physical, sexual, psychological, and economic harm, often rooted in unequal power dynamics and societal norms. GBV disproportionately affects women and girls but can impact any gender. It includes practices like female genital mutilation, honor killings, trafficking, and forced marriages.

For our project with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), we developed data visualizations focusing on second-life batteries (SLBs) and electric vehicles (EVs). This initiative highlights the environmental benefits and economic potential of repurposing used EV batteries.
